Collingwood Parks
Bell
Boulevard Park
Small in size and offers picnic area; playground equipment; nice for
quiet lunch or walk. Located at intersection of Bell Boulevard and
Sproule Avenue.
Great Northern Place
An active park featuring many athletic facilities (some are free - some
aren't). The FREE part is the playground; washrooms; parking; soccer
fields; softball; picnic area/tables. For a nominal fee (& possibly
membership) is indoor curling rink; lawn-bowling facilities. Located at
intersection of Hume & Patterson Streets (next to YMCA).
Harbourview Park
A fantastic waterfront park (featuring ENVIROPARK) - displaying
fundamental sciences at work - great learning experiences for kids plus
play area too! There is a boardwalk that's great for walks and fresh
air; boat launching facilities; washrooms; picnic areas & tables; where
Georgian Trail starts; and fishing! Located at the end of Cedar Street
(just behind McDonald's); find parking on side roads and walk over to
park! Have fun!
Heritage Park
A sports-related park offering softball and hardball facilities; soccer
fields; skateboard park; tennis courts; playground; an outdoor pool.
Between Spruce & High Streets and intersection of Second and Third
Streets.
Kinsmen's Participark A participation park!
Playground equipment; a soccer field; picnic area. At intersection of
Lockhart Road and Katherine Street.
Lion's Park
A great outdoor park featuring a seasonal outdoor ice rink; playground
for children. At intersection of Walnut Street, between Ninth and Tenth
Streets. Museum Park - (Part of Collingwood Museum) A pretty picnic area
with tables; a War Veteran's Memorial; mature shade trees to relax
under. At Huron and St. Paul Streets. Parking on side roads as well as
small parking space south of park.
Old Village Park
Hosts playground equipment; ball diamonds; a picnic area; tennis courts;
and public washrooms. Located near west side of Royal Canadian Legion on
Ontario Street.
Princeton Shores Park
Just your average tennis park (still in the planning stage). Located at
the intersection of Princeton Shores Road off Hwy. 25 West. Sixth Street
Park Has a small picnic area; playground for children; a residential
park. Remember your picnic blankets and lunches! At the intersection of
Sixth and Oak Streets.
Spooner Park
This park features a green area with playground facilities; plans for
future enhancement are being worked on. Behind Blue Mountain Chrysler,
off Hwy. 26 East.
Sunset Point Park
A beautiful waterfront park featuring all those BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS! This
park facilitates swimming; board sailing; picnic areas & tables; boat
launching ramps; canteen; washrooms; beach volleyball; playground
equipment; bandstand; also calendar functions/events (e.g. are exhibits,
Snowbird's "Flying for the Heart" Foundation Flying Show; pipe bands,
etc.). Take Pretty River Parkway to Sunset Point Road, make right turn
here into the park.
Sheffield Park (Day Picnics)
Black History & Cultural Museum - Hwy.26 West on Long Point Rd.,
Collingwood.
Hours Tues.- Sun. 1p.m.- 6p.m. Adults $2., Children $1. (Under 12).
Museum -Donation. May - October (After Oct. by appointment).
Craigleith Provincial Park
Located on Hwy #26 on Georgian Bay. Tents and Trailers, hot water,
playground. Excellent for fishermen and families.

Fireman's Park
Features picnic tables; a lovely, serene setting overlooking the Beaver
River; playground for children; washrooms. Take Hwy. 26 to Thornbury
intersection, make a left onto Bruce Street that takes you to
Clarksburg, make right onto Clark Street (park located on left side of
Clark Street, just past the iron bridge).
Lion's Club Park
Small area of green for picnicking; a picnic table; pretty location by
Beaver River; children's swing set; shade trees surround the area. Take
Hwy. 26 to Thornbury intersection, make left onto Bruce Street on into
Clarksburg bringing you right onto Marsh Street were park is located.
Parking on street.

Meaford Parks
Meaford Memorial Park
Features campground with hydro amenities (some sites with electric -
others don't); washrooms; ball diamond for all types of sports
activities; picnicking area and tables; playground area and equipment;
wonderful view of Georgian Bay to fish by or anything you fell like
doing! On Aiken Street in Meaford; parking available at park.
Raper's Park
Right off of Hwy 26 on Georgian Bay. Parking; picnic tables scattered
along the water front. Playground equipment for children and swimming.
Please Note: Do you have small children??... there is also a park across
from the boat launch just a minutes walk from Raper's park which has
washrooms, drinking fountain, playground equipment and a WADING POOL.
(Wading Pool is free but only used during summer months.) Small children
love this park!
Beautiful Joe Park
Come and see the park named after the dog who had a book written about
him. A serene, picturesque setting with picnic tables; playground with
equipment; garbage bins; parking (on Big Head River), lovely old shade
trees; located on Miller Street ; parking.

Park
(Beautiful Setting) Offers a FREE tennis court; picnicking facilities,
washrooms; play area and equipment; baseball diamond; pleasant
surrounding for a pleasant day at the park right on Georgian Bay! Take
Hwy 26 to Thornbury, turn right on Mill Street (before the Dam). (Don't
forget to check the Dam to see if the fish are jumping!)

picnic area. On Oxbow Park Road (end of street). Oakview Woods Outdoor
Complex - (by Oakview Community Centre) Has 2 tennis courts (1 lit at
night); 2 baseball diamonds; washrooms; picnic area/tables; horseshoe
pit (summer only); courts turned into outdoor skating rink (mid-Dec. To
mid- March); located on Mosley Street. Tel: (705) 429-5321 for
recreation schedules, booking facilities, etc. Hours are 9:00 am - 5:00
pm weekdays.
Town Hall Park
Playground; parking; baseball diamond; basketball net; picnicking
facilities; on Lewis Street. Woodlands Soccer Pitch Park Soccer field;
parking; portable washrooms (summertime); picnic area; pleasant
surroundings; residential area; located on Oxbow Park Road (on curve
part of road).
Wasaga
Beach Provincial Park
Box 183, Wasaga Beach, L0L 2P0. Phone 705-429-2516. Day use only. Park
offers Beach Areas 1-6, over 14 km of clean, safe beach for swimming and
picnicking. Includes play areas, bicycle paths, boardwalks, washrooms
and parking. Also operates Nancy Island Historic Site and 26 km of
groomed cross-country ski trails.
