The Mill Café is Thornbury's landmark casual
fine dining experience. Overlooking the dam and
mill pond, the Mill is an exceptional location
with a diverse and innovative menu. A visit to
the Mill Café is perfect for those seeking to
combine a great food experience in a comfortable
environment.
Décor: The Mill Café is a designed to be
cozy. The dining room has old oak flooring with
walls masterfully finished and coloured.
Original paintings, soft music, warm lighting
and a fireplace complete the dining room
ambience. The pub is also extremely inviting, a
great place to have a drink with friends, watch
a game on television or enjoy some lunch. The
two distinctly different patios are fabulous
gathering places when weather permits.
Cuisine: Executive Chef Tim D'Souza has
collaborated with his new partners at the Mill
Café to bring a higher caliber of cuisine to
Thornbury. Tim has held senior positions at: The
Granite Club, Oro, Accents and Sansouci
restaurants. Tim's style is based on foundations
in French and Italian cuisine, influenced by
exposure to Asian, Japanese and Latin cuisines.
The culinary experience and passion that Tim
brings has met with excellent reviews. Many
creations are locally sourced and prepared from
scratch by the Mill's team. Tim's menus and
daily specials are complimentary to the friendly
and professional service that has been the
trademark of the Mill Café for a decade.
Details: Lunch entrees are priced between
$ 8 and $ 13. Dinner entrees are priced between
$ 16 and $ 37. Private functions and catering
are available. The Mill Café is licensed under
the LLBO and has a well rounded wine list. The
Mill Café is the first business in The Town of
the Blue Mountains to complete the Service
Excellence Program of the Ontario Tourism
Education Corporation. The Profit Through
Performance program is one of the OTEC’s
training programs for managers and employees
committed to raising service standards through
innovative training. Visa, MasterCard and Amex
are accepted. Principal owner is Carol Taylor.
