The restaurant has been open since
July 2004. We invite you to share in
the warmth, and comfort of our
casual fine dining restaurant.
Casual fine dining in an elegant
restored 120 year old home. Serving
comfort food in two distinctly
different dining rooms. With an
emphasis on steak and seafood for
dinner and fresh, fast,
affordable homemade lunches. You can
also come for a relaxing drink in
J.J Longs Lounge featuring an
extensive wine and cocktail list.

Our
History
The name of
the restaurant and lounge come from
the actual history of the
building. 100 years ago this was the
site of Collingwood's first men's
club
where many of our towns founding
fathers and ship captains would come
to
eat, drink and socialize. The club
was called "The Huron House" and
it's first
president was a man named J.J. Long
who donated the land where our
building, the library and the museum
now stand. From this J.J.Longs
Lounge
and the new “Huron House” where
born.
You can see tribute to the original
Huron
Club on the walls in our dining room
where pictures of J.J Long and the
original club members can be found
along with an original share
certificate
from the club which was found buried
in the walls by a previous owner.
The
Huron House is a great spot to come
and relax and enjoy fantastic food
and
drinks in a comfortable setting.
